The FMAA is an IMA certification intended to give early-career workers a basic understanding of accounting and finance.
It’s perfect for novice accountants, professionals making the move to accounting, students, and anybody looking to refresh their understanding of basic finance concepts.
For thorough preparation, about 100–150 hours of study are advised.
The IMA exam cost for FMAA is $299, but if you sign up through Saraf Academy, you may take it for just $249, as the offer is for a limited time only.
Candidates have two hours to finish the exam, which comprises of eighty multiple-choice questions.
The exam is offered in three testing windows: January, May, and September 2025, at Prometric locations worldwide.
